The Central Board of Direct Taxes, Ministry of Finance (MoF) on June 8 said it was appointing a fresh committee to 'examine suggestions' in order to find assets that cannot be traced. Committee in themselves will not do much, except to submit another report, this time in two months. There are two possibilities that make the exercise different. First, that outside agencies could be roped into find these unknown/undisclosed assets. And second, a reward scheme for informants. The capitalist way to catch the capitalists might just work.
