Software giant IBM and the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will work on a joint project aimed at providing better healthcare services to the citizens of Pune.

The project forms a part of the IBM smarter cities challenge grants extended to 33 cities worldwide in year 2012. Launched in 2011, the IBM smarter cities challenge is a three-year, 100-city, US $50 million competitive grant program.
