There are 101 elephant corridors in India. 70% of these corridors are regularly used primarily in West Bengal, South and Northeast India.
In 2007, Kerala had an estimated 6068 elephants. At 3054, Kerala has the 3rd highest elephant population in India as of 2017. That’s nearly half of what the state reported a decade ago.
