Indian workspaces are losing its women.
The International Labour Organisation ranks India’s Female Labour Force Participation (FLFP) rate as 121 out of 131 countries, which means that India has one of the lowest participation of women in its workforce.
According to an April 2017 World Bank report, in over two decades preceding 2013, female labour force participation in India fell from 34.8% to 27%.
The bulk of this drop transpired among rural women between 15 to 24 years of age, who even with better education are not finding jobs.
