Cops In Mumbai Are Living in Crumbling Houses

Many police housing complexes in Mumbai are in a sorry state. The houses, with an average four persons in a family, are crumbling. The ceilings are leaking, and the walls have cracks in it.

According to a nationwide survey by the Bureau of Police Research and Development, about 3 in 4 police personnel are unhappy with their allotted accommodation. Moreover, there is not enough houses for the country’s police force. Only 0.6 million houses were available for nearly 2 million civil and armed police personnel and their families according to the survey report
