IndiaSpend Premium Subscription: Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Subscriber” or “User”) and IndiaSpend (“IndiaSpend,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By subscribing to IndiaSpend’s digital products and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

2. Subscription Services & Plans

IndiaSpend offers subscription services that may differ by region and device. Details, pricing, and package features are available on the subscription page and may be updated from time to time.

All Plans Include:

  • Full access to all articles older than 45 days

  • Downloadable datasets (where applicable)

  • 100% ad-free reading experience

3. Registration, Access and Security

  • Subscriptions are for individual use unless otherwise arranged (e.g., organization plans).

  • You must provide accurate registration and payment information.

  • Your login credentials must not be shared with others. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must promptly notify IndiaSpend of any unauthorized use.

4. Privacy Policy

All information collected during subscription is handled according to the IndiaSpend Privacy Policy, accessible on our website.

5. Contract Formation and Payment

  • By submitting payment and completing registration, you make an offer to purchase a subscription. A subscription contract is formed upon receipt of payment and confirmation by IndiaSpend.

  • IndiaSpend may reject or cancel any subscription for any legal reason, with notice.

  • Subscription pricing and terms will be made clear before purchase, and may change with advance notice. Existing subscribers will be informed of any changes prior to renewal.

6. Subscription Period, Renewal and Cancellation

Renewal:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the current period unless you notify IndiaSpend of your intention to cancel.

  • Your saved payment method will be charged for renewals.

Cancellation:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting our Customer Services team at respond@indiaspend.org.

  • Notice of cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period; you will not receive a refund for the remainder of that period except as outlined below.

  • For Student Plans: The subscription will be void if valid student ID proof is not submitted after payment.

Refunds:

  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable after access has been provided.

  • Pro-rata refunds are only available if IndiaSpend permanently ceases service or in other exceptional circumstances as determined by IndiaSpend.

7. Organization and Multi-User Plans

  • Institutions seeking multi-user access must contact IndiaSpend directly to customize licenses and discuss access needs.

  • Such agreements are subject to additional/modified terms as mutually agreed upon.

8. Content Ownership and Usage

  • All content published on IndiaSpend platforms remains the intellectual property of IndiaSpend or its licensors. No content rights are transferred through your subscription.

  • Downloadable datasets may be used for personal or academic research (subject to stated license terms).

9. User Generated Content

  • Users may contribute comments or User Generated Content (UGC) and must comply with relevant guidelines. IndiaSpend reserves the right to moderate or remove UGC at its discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • IndiaSpend’s financial liability for any claims related to a subscription is limited to the amount already paid by the subscriber for the current subscription period.

  • IndiaSpend is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including business losses, lost profits, or lost data.

  • Content and data are provided “as is” and for general information only—not as professional advice.

11. Changes to Terms

IndiaSpend may modify these terms and conditions and will notify subscribers of material changes in advance. Updated terms will be available on the website and will apply prospectively.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Mumbai, unless otherwise specified due to your location.
