Kerala Has Cleanest Anganwadi Toilets Among Indian States

Kerala has the cleanest toilets  among the Indian states according to the government on cleanliness of toilets of the Anganwadi centres (AWC). The data  shows that the maximum number of "Very clean toilets' were observed in Kerala (59%) followed by Himachal Pradesh (45%). The least number of 'very clean toilets' were seen in Punjab and Bihar. Among the category 'unclean/unhygienic' toilets, Bihar was among the top three Indian states. The all-India level of this segment stood at 61.3% with almost 14 states/union territories exceeding this number. Full View Anganwadi centres were created under the 'Integrated Child Development Centres (ICDS) and are a part of the public and health care and education systems.
