Mani Shankar Aiyar, Congress candidate from Mahiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu, says that any Member of Parliament who claims they will create jobs is misleading the voters since such things don’t depend on one person. He says that if he wins, the best way he can promote employment is to continue to fight for the rights of the agriculturists to get their due share of Kaveri water. And finally he’d fight for the rights of the coastal fishermen who need subsidies and need to be protected against harassment by the Sri Lankan authorities.

This initiative is part of Mera Neta, India’s largest candidate outreach programme, which has exclusive updates of the candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections 2014 covering 542 constituencies and talking to 1000+ candidates across India. Watch the rest of the videos here.
